Words by Ethan the other day:
We were having ham for dinner and Ethan asked what type of animal ham comes from as he was totally pigging out on the ham (no pun intended!). I answered that ham comes from pigs and Ethan quickly answered that "I'm sure glad this pig is dead", so he can enjoy ham! (His kindergarten class had a field trip to a butcher recently!)

One of the greatest blessings of the New Covenant is being able to eat pig in all of its various forms.
There must be a verse about that somewhere...
"And thou shalt eat, yea verily, vast quantities of ham, bacon, and sweet and sour pork chops. And thou shalt be ever grateful for a dearth of dietary laws."
